Makeup tips from ELLE
In this post I am gonna share with you some makeup tips for every day NATURAL look. These tips are from the world famous makeup artists. Enjoy and stay natural! <3
CAT EYE
How-To Tips: “Curl your lashes and put on mascara, then dip a tiny brush into gel liner—
it’s the easiest formula to use. Holding the skin of the eyelid taut, draw a thin line from
the tear duct to the center using the tip of the brush. As you move past the middle, flip
the brush to the flat side and flick it toward the corner for the ideal winged look.”

LIPSTICK
How-To Tips: “When wearing lipstick, having a smooth canvas is essential—to achieve
this, exfoliate lips with a baby toothbrush and apply a moisturizing balm before bedtime.
To give lipstick greater staying power, layer liner underneath it, spreading the color out
over the lip, and finish with a gloss.”

FLAWLESS SKIN
How-To Tips: “Most women pile on the foundation and don’t use enough concealer; if
you use concealer first, it covers the things you’re trying to hide and allows you to use
less foundation. Also, blush should be the tone of what you’d naturally flush—like when
you’ve spotted a cute guy or you’ve been exercising. As a guide, pick one similar to your
natural lip color and always apply it on the apples of the cheeks instead of doing a Nike
swoosh up the face.”

THE FACE SAVER
How-To Tips: “Skin care is the number one key to makeup confidence. I am a firm
believer that if you exfoliate on a weekly basis and hydrate your skin, you can almost look
like you don’t have any makeup on—your skin will look thatgood. Also, if you want a
larger lip without fillers, use a neutral liner to shade the corners of the mouth and create
a “v” shape in the center of the bottom lip. Fill in the lip with a lighter shade of lipstick
or gloss and it gives the illusion of a fuller pout.”

SMOKY EYE
How-To Tips: “When doing a smoky eye, don’t use too much product too quickly—it’s
easier to gradually build up the intensity of the shadow instead of having to correct your
mistakes. You always want to start with a prime color—an eye shadow a few shades
darker than your skin tone—to help soften and diffuse the smokier hue.”

THE SOCIALITE'S SECRET
How-To Tips: “Good skin care is important. You also need to use a sheer foundation so
that you don't appear as though you’re trying to hide something. Lastly, go for a makeup
look that’s balanced and tailored toward your specific face—instead of being so critical
about yourself, look for what makes you beautiful and enhance that feature.”
